Day by day itinerary

1. 1Cape Town - Hermanus - Southern most tip of Africa - Cape Agulhas⌄

   We drive through Agulhas National Park en route to the Southern Most tip of Africa

   We follow the scenic coastal road, stopping at Betties Bay to view a colony of endangered African penguins.

   We visit the Southernmost Tip of Africa, where the oceans meet

   We drive past the lighthouse on the way to the Southernmost Tip of Africa

   Optional activity (July-Nov): Go on a boat trip to see these HUGE creatures up close! This activity takes place over lunchtime on Monday in Hermanus, a town known for the many Southern Right Whales that visit the area during July - November every year.

   Optional activity: Clients take a one way transfer with the shark company from/to Cape Town and will be collected from/dropped off at the shark offices by their Garden Route guide. It sounds scary, but it's actually a very safe activity - the company provides masks & wetsuits (no scuba), and the cage is attached to the boat, so you are not out in open water. Shark cage diving clients will miss out on a half day of the standard tour, which includes the visit to the Penguin Colony.

   Meals: Dinner: Traditional South African Potjie (stew) for dinner

2. 2Cape Agulhas - Barrydale - Oudtshoorn⌄

   Taste award-winning local wines

   Meals: Breakfast · Dinner: Tonight we will have a traditional South African braai! You can sample ostrich if you wish. Vegetarian option available

3. 3Oudtshoorn - Outeniqua Pass - Wilderness National Park - Sedgefield⌄

   Explore Wilderness National Park with some canoes. Enjoy a paddle up the Touw River through indigenous forest, enjoying the abundance of birdlife. After about 45 minutes, the canoes will be left for a 2km hike along a boardwalk, which will take us to a lovely waterfall and rock pools. We will return the same way, by hiking (2km) and canoeing (45 minutes)

4. 4Sedgefield - Knysna - Tsitsikamma National Park - Addo⌄

   We will stop at Bloukrans Bridge to view the world’s highest bungee jump bridge (216 meters). There is plenty of time for the adventure seekers among you to test their courage.

   Tsitsikamma National Park offers a unique combination of indigenous forest and beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. The park has a wide choice of activities for all, including hiking, crossing a suspension bridge and swimming.

   Optional activity: The highest bridge bungy in the WORLD at 216m!!

   Meals: Breakfast · Dinner: Sit-down dinner served by our friendly hosts at Avoca River Cabins, a beautiful, family-run citrus farm close to Addo.

   Overnight: Avoca River Cabins. This is neither a Guest House nor a Backpackers, but a special experience we include for all guests

5. 5Addo - Addo Elephant National Park - Wilderness/Sedgefield⌄

   Included safari in our tour vehicle, exploring Addo Elephant National Park. We will spend up to 2-3 hours exploring the 28,000 hectare National reserve with approximately 600 elephant and some Cape buffalo, lion, black rhino, warthog, zebra, eland, kudu, hartebeest and many more animals.

   Optional activity: Sunrise safari with Addo Park ranger in open safari vehicle.

   Overnight: Backpacker or Guest House Accommodation

6. 6Wilderness/Sedgefield - Cape Town⌄

   Guests can opt to hike the Cape St. Blaize trail along the cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean

   Optional activity: Guests can opt to visit the famous Diaz Museum complex, commemorating the first known European exploration around the tip of Africa.

   You will see the lighthouse overlooking Mossel Bay

   Guests can opt to spend some time on the spectacular beaches of Mossel Bay

   Optional activity: 10,000-foot tandem sky-dive
