Arrive in Ushuaia and enjoy a smooth transfer to your hotel. Beyond logistics, today marks your first encounter with Patagonia’s southern frontier. The air feels different here: crisp, open, expansive. With no fixed schedule, you’re free to discover the city’s harbor, watch the fishing boats drift across the Beagle Channel, or explore its small but vibrant culinary scene. This first afternoon sets the tone: remote, authentic and quietly powerful.

2From National Park to Open Channel⌄
This morning, venture into Tierra del Fuego National Park, where the Andes descend into the sea and native forests open into wide coastal landscapes. Accompanied by your guide, explore scenic trails and panoramic viewpoints while learning about the region’s unique ecosystems and early inhabitants. The blend of mountains, peat bogs and quiet bays creates one of Patagonia’s most distinctive settings. In the afternoon, shift perspective as you navigate the legendary Beagle Channel. Sailing between remote islands, you’ll encounter seabird colonies and sea lions resting on rocky outcrops, with snow-dusted peaks forming a dramatic backdrop. At the scheduled time, a transfer will take you to Ushuaia Airport for your onward flight (air tickets not included). Upon arrival in El Calafate, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The landscape changes noticeably here: wide Patagonian steppe, vast skies and the promise of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field just beyond the horizon. The remainder of the day is free to explore this charming lakeside town at your own pace. You may wish to stroll along the shores of Lake Argentino or enjoy dinner at one of the region’s traditional restaurants as you prepare for tomorrow’s glacier experience.

Today, witness one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders: Perito Moreno Glacier. Walk along the extensive network of elevated walkways and viewpoints that reveal the glacier’s immense blue ice walls, while listening to the occasional thunderous crack as massive icebergs calve into Lake Argentino.
