"Agra Beyond Taj Mahal" is a special program of 02 days designed to enjoy and cheer the beauty of the Taj Mahal and many more architectural marvels. Undoubtedly, the Taj Mahal is the most beautiful and most photographed building and so is always a highlight of any tour program in India. Besides the Taj Mahal, Agra is also home to two more UNESCO World Heritage Sites- Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.

Agra has been the capital of India during the Great Mughals and later the capital of North-Western Province during the British. Each Mughal ruler and British left their marks in the form of many other architectural marvels like Chini-Ka-Roza, Aram Bagh, Akbar's Tomb at Sikandra, etc, and many graveyards with intricate carvings. Unfortunately, these smaller architectural specimens have been overshadowed by the beauty of the Taj Mahal. "Agra Beyond Taj Mahal" is to showcase some of these lesser-known monuments through a Heritage Walk of the city which has numerous marks of history.

  1. 1Agra - Unfold Taj Mahal⌄

    Once we meet you at Agra airport or at any other desired location, our tour guide will unfold the Taj Mahal before you. After a brief about the city history, culture & modern-day lifestyle, You shall proceed to visit Taj Mahal most amazing views during the sunset. Monument of Love, Romance in Marble, Crown of the Palaces …..so many more words and phrases have been described by scholars and poets about this beautiful building. For tourists.. It is just …Superb, Whao…Amazing, Marvelous … Constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the tomb of his beloved queen, the magical allure of Taj Mahal has been drawing tourists from all around the world and is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taj Mahal is the most visited and photographed monument in the world.

    Mohabbat-E-Taj is a live musical extravaganza performed by more than 75 talented artists at a world-class theater at Kalakriti Cultural & Convention Center. This live show is all about the romantic stories of Emperor Shahjahan and queen Mumtaz Mahal, also titled Lady if the Taj. The grandeur of the story is well created and presented amidst state-of-the-art sound & light effects. The entire show of 80 minutes is like a traditional historical Bollywood movie with Indian dances performed live at a theatre. Visitors can enjoy the content in any of the 8 foreign languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian through the audio headsets provided during the show.

  2. 2Agra - Taj Mahal & Beyond⌄

    Today you will start your day a bit early as we will take you to the opposite bank of the river Yamuna and you will be mesmerized with a different view of the Taj Mahal as the waters of Yamuna will be in between you and the Taj Mahal. The gardens of Mehtab Bagh or Moonlit gardens are perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the north bank of Yamuna and offer panoramic views of the Taj Mahal at different hours of the day. Mehtab Bagh or Moonlit Garden on the north bank of river Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal was the last of the eleven Mughal-built gardens in the shape of Char Bagh.

    Agra Fort or Red Fort of Agra is a perfectly preserved massive fort complex that was the main residence of Mughal Emperors till 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. This UNESCO World Heritage Site houses many palaces constructed by different rulers. Akbar Mahal, Jahangiri Mahal, Palace of Roshan Ara, Diwan-E-Am, Diwan-e-Khas, Moti Masjid are the main architectural sites inside the fort complex. However, perhaps the most remarkable place inside is the Mutthamman Burz or Shahjahani Mahal where Emperor Shah Jahan, the builder of Taj Mahal was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb as per his desire to have the views of Taj Mahal. Even today, similar and uninterrupted views of the Taj Mahal can be enjoyed.

    After exploring Agra, beyond the Taj Mahal, return to your hotel for breakfast. Post your breakfast, drive to Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of Mughals lies approximately 38 km west of Agra. Imperial buildings and palaces were constructed within a walled city. The palace complex has many architectural masterpieces like Diwan-E-Khas, Diwan-E-Am, Panch Mahal, Anup Talao, Treasury, Astrologer’s seat, Jahangiri Mahal and Buland Darwaja. White marble building has the grave of a Sufi saint under an ornate wooden canopy encrusted with Mother of Pearl mosaic.

    It's time now to rediscover an animal lover inside you as you meet with unsung heroes of Agra - Volunteers of Wildlife SOS while visiting Elephant Conservation and Care Centre, home to 20 elephants and 175 sloth bears rescued from depriving conditions. As you visit the conservation center, you will surely fall in love with these lovely animals. Watch bears playing or walk with elephants as they go to bathe in the waters of the river Yamuna twice a day. Express your love and affection for them and they will be your friends. Important to note here is that riding an elephant/bear is strictly prohibited. However, you are allowed to volunteer yourself to help and support the NGO in the supervision of the Wildlife SOS staff. Wildlife SOS is an NGO running and taking care of these elephants and bears and your small donation of around USD 25 per person helps them to perform their work smoothly. Donation is completely obligatory and not included in the tour cost.

Good to know

Starts: We shall be glad to pickup you from any hotel in Agra or from any other desired location in Agra. If you want us to pick up you from Agra airport, Our company representative and driver will be waiting for you outside the airport and shall be holding a placard reading your name.

Ends: We shall drop you at Agra Airport, Agra Railway station or at any hotel in Agra or even at any other desired location in Agra.

Cancellation: For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
