Day by day itinerary

1. 1Hikkaduwa > Wilpattu > Anuradhapura⌄

   Start your journey at 0700 hrs from your hotel in Hikkaduwa. You will be met by a designated chauffer guide from Lakpura Travels. After the formalities at the hotel you will be escorted to your air conditioned vehicle and proceed to Wilpattu.

   On arrival Wilpattu go on a lovely jeep safari in Wilapttu National Park. Feel the call of the wild with the Wilpattu National Park Safari. Get a chance to catch sight of the elusive Sri Lankan Leopard and famous Sri Lankan Elephant. See hundreds of other wildlife such as deer, buffalo, monkeys, crocodiles, and rare birds. Get the photographs of a lifetime as you become one with nature.

   On completion of the safari proceed to Anuradhapura, check into the hotel and relax.

2. 2Anuradhapura > Mihintale > Hikkaduwa⌄

   Jetavanaramaya, located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, is one of the tallest ancient stupas in the world. Built by King Mahasena in the 3rd century AD, it stands as a testament to Sri Lanka's rich Buddhist heritage. Rising to a height of over 120 meters, Jetavanaramaya once housed relics of Lord Buddha and attracted pilgrims from far and wide.    Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Sri Lanka is a revered fig tree that holds immense significance for Buddhists worldwide. Planted over 2,000 years ago, it's believed to be a sapling from the original Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, under which Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment to become the Buddha. Enclosed within a protective structure, it stands as a symbol of enlightenment and spiritual pilgrimage, drawing devotees and visitors seeking tranquility and connection to Buddhist heritage.

   Abhayagiri Vihara, located in Sri Lanka, is an ancient Buddhist monastery renowned for its historical significance and architectural grandeur. Established in the 2nd century BCE, it served as a center for Buddhist learning and meditation. The vihara features impressive stupas, intricate carvings, and serene surroundings, attracting pilgrims and tourists alike.    Thereafter visit Mihintale Rock. Visit the place where Buddhism began in Sri Lanka. See the spot where the meeting of King Devanampiyatissa and Monk Mahinda took place. View the monastic ruins at the foot of the mountain. Walk in the footsteps of Mahinda as you visit the cave where he resided. View historic stupas, Ambasthala Dagoba and the Maha Stupa. Enter the ruins of an age long past to understand its impact on the history of Sri Lanka.

   On completion start your journey back to your hotel in Hikkaduwa.
