This plan allows visitors to experience the traditional craft of Yamaga lanterns, followed by a visit to the Hirayama Hot Springs. In the evening, we offer the opportunity to spend a relaxing time in an old house for rent, lighting original Yamaga lanterns and enjoying Yamaga's specialities and Yamaga sake.’ Please enjoy a ‘unique experience’ of staying in an old private house. To make sightseeing more enjoyable, we coordinate visits to Yamaga's sights of interest.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Meet Yamaga's Hisotry⌄

    Drive from Yo-getsu to the Buzen Kaido parking lot. Buzen Kaido is a popular sightseeing spot in Yamaga City that retains its old-fashioned atmosphere. Visit the Yachiyo-za theatre, the Yamaga Lantern Folk Crafts Museum, where you can learn about the Yamaga Lantern, a craft of Yamaga City, and enjoy a Yamaga Lantern experience and commemorative photo. Take a stroll along the Buzen Kaido street, which is also lined with cafés and souvenir shops, and enjoy shopping.

    Move on to the Hirayama Hot Springs, popular for their skin-beautifying waters, and enjoy the hot springs. After bathing, enjoy dinner.

    Overnight: Stay in a 150-year-old "Yo-getsu" house. (1 Western-style room, 2 Japanese-style rooms with shower and toilet)

    The concierge provides advice on recommended sightseeing spots and other information based on more than 50 different sightseeing cards. Enjoy Yamaga sightseeing according to your travel style. For example, - For those who like to drink, we can guide you to wineries, distilleries and sake breweries. - For those who like cafés, guide them to popular cafés in Yamaga. - For those who like history and culture, we will guide you to ancient tombs and historic sites. - For those who like hot springs, we will guide you to hidden hot springs.

    Meals: Breakfast: Rice balls, pickles, Takema tea (famous from Yamaga), coffee, etc.
