Overview
Your ship docks in Alexandria, but the pyramids are in Cairo, about 2.5 hours inland. This overnight tour gives you two unhurried days in the capital instead of one exhausting dash.
Day one takes you to the Giza Plateau for the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, then to the Egyptian Museum, with an overnight stay at a Cairo hotel. Day two moves through Islamic Cairo: the Citadel of Saladin, the alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, and the lanes of the old city, before the drive back to your ship. Your private guide and driver shape both days around your sailing time.
Two days, one night, and real time at each site rather than a race against the clock.
Ideal for cruise guests who want Cairo properly, not squeezed into a single shore day.

★Highlights⌄
Day 1 drives inland to the Giza Plateau, where you stand at the foot of the Great Pyramid of Khufu and take in all three pyramids with your Egyptologist.
Beside the pyramids you meet the Great Sphinx, the lion-bodied guardian carved from a single limestone ridge, with time at the valley temple.
To finish Day 1 you tour the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, with its halls of pharaonic treasure, before an overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 2 climbs to the Citadel of Saladin, the medieval fortress that crowns Cairo with sweeping views over the old city.
Inside the Citadel you step into the alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, its great domes and twin minarets among Cairo's most striking landmarks, before the drive back to your ship.
