3Columbia Icefield – Athabasca Falls – Maligne Lake – Medicine Lake – Jasper⌄
Get ready for another exciting day filled with unforgettable views and experiences! Our team will meet you at your hotel lobby, ready to kick off another incredible adventure in the heart of the Rockies.
The Columbia Icefield is one of North America’s largest, covering 325 square kilometers and feeding into eight glaciers. Visitors flock here to experience the thrill of riding the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, where you can walk on ice that's over 400 years old. With stunning views of towering peaks and vast glaciers, it’s a must-visit for adventure seekers, photographers, and anyone eager to witness the raw beauty of the Canadian Rockies. It’s an unforgettable experience in one of the world’s most incredible landscapes.
Located just 30 km south of Jasper, Athabasca Falls is a striking natural marvel in the Canadian Rockies. While it may not be the tallest waterfall, its thunderous force and impressive water volume make it one of the most powerful in the region. The falls plunge into a deep gorge, creating a dramatic display of water cascading over jagged rocks. Surrounded by lush forests and framed by the stunning Rocky Mountains, it's a photographer's dream and a must-see for anyone exploring Jasper National Park!
Medicine Lake, located 20 km southeast of Jasper, is a fascinating natural wonder known as "the lake that disappears." This 7 km long lake, formed by the Maligne River, mysteriously loses water as it flows. The water pools in the lake over the largest inaccessible limestone cave system before eventually merging with the Athabasca River. It's a unique sight you won't want to miss!
Maligne Lake, the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies, stretches 22 km in Jasper National Park. Known for its stunning turquoise waters and Spirit Island, it's a must-see for boat tours, fishing, and breathtaking views of surrounding mountains and glaciers. Optional : Lake Cruise (Additional fee)
As the day's adventure wraps up, our team will comfortably return you to your accommodation in Jasper Town, allowing you to relax and reflect on the unforgettable experiences of the day.
