An impressive day on a dromedary, with plenty of unspoiled nature, otherwise inaccessible places and historical sites to marvel at and an oriental night in the Berber tent. The tour starts in Diabat and leads to the beach, through the Omar dunes and along the beach. You will stop at a for lunch at a shady area. Another few hours on the dromedary and you will be back at Diabat. From there our driver will bring you in the afternoon in our Berbercamp. The next morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast before the return journey by car. This tour is suitable for the whole family. The dromedary is a peaceful animal and its rhythmic rocking motion is almost meditative.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1One day on a dromedarythrugh the forest and the endless beach of Diabat/Essaouira⌄

    Our adventure starts in Diabat, a village near Essaouira. Our pick-up service will take you at Essaouira. The guide will introduce you to our dromedaries, help you mount them and lead the animals as they walk in a caravan (one behind the other).

    We will take a path through the eucalyptus and mimosa forest. Those who wish can pick some eucalyptus leaves to make an infusion later. Animal lovers will enjoy the tortoises that can often be seen here. Then we reach the large Omar dunes.

    Then we turn in direction of the beach with freshwater springs until we reach the big dunes of Cap Sim. The beach south of Essaouira is kilometres long and you meet less and less people the further you get away from Essaouira.

    Our guide will find a shady and windless spot for lunch. The pick-nick, which was freshly prepared in our kitchen in the morning, was transported here in the saddlebags of the dromedaries. The guide will prepare everything for lunch on the spot. The chicken kebabs are roasted on the campfire. If you are a vegetarian, your wishes will also be taken into account. There is also salad, bread, water and soft drinks. To finish, fruit and freshly prepared mint tea.

    To get back to the starting point, we will now turn northwards. We will take a different route back towards Diabat.

    Near Diabat we will pass at the sultan's palace, half submerged in the sand, looks magical and inspires the imagination to visualise what this building might once have looked like.

    You come back to the Ranch where you can freshen up a little before we drive you to our Berber camp.

    We will arrive at our Berber tent camp in the late afternoon. Our team has already prepared everything for you and a typical Moroccan mint tea will be waiting for you. Our camp is located in the immediate vicinity of the ocean. If you feel like it, you can take a swim. In the meantime, our chef prepares a delicious dinner. Everything is freshly prepared according to Moroccan tradition. Mineral water and soft drinks are served. After dinner, you can settle down around the campfire and marvel at the starry sky before retiring to the Berber tent for a well-earned night's sleep.

    Meals: Lunch: We will have a pick-nick-lunch. Our cook prepared a delicious picnic, which was transported in the saddlebags. · Dinner: Our cook will prepare a typical Moroccan dinner for you in our Berber Camp.

    Overnight: Our Berber Camp is equipped with typical Berber tents, which are equipped with carpets, pillows and mattresses.

  2. 2After a night in a Berber tent, return to Diabat after a hearty breakfast.⌄

    We will take you back to Diabat by car, where you can freshen up again before our driver takes you back to Essaouira.

    Meals: Breakfast: After a night in the Berber tents, a breakfast with coffee, tea, fruit juice, bread, jam, yoghurt and fruit awaits you.
