Visit Guangzhou by bullet train, a city which is well known for famous Cantonese Cuisine and traditional Cantonese culture, and Diaolous, some multi-storeyed defensive village houses in Kaiping, which display a complex and flamboyant fusion of Chinese and Western structural and decorative forms. This 2-night package includes China's newest bullet train transfers from Hong Kong, and old ferry services between mainland China and Hong Kong.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Hong Kong to Guangzhou (By Train)⌄

    Your round trip train tickets will be reserved by a Hong Kong travel agent in advance. You will receive a Train Ticket Redemption Voucher. Train leaves from West Kowloon Station every 30 minute from 08:00 to 13:00, arrives in Guangzhou South Station in 60 minute.

    Pickup commences from Guangzhou South Railway Station. Your tour guide will hold your name sign, wait for you at the exit. The first stop is Huacheng Square, which is located in CBD of Zhujiang New Town, a renowned sightseeing and shopping destination in Guangzhou. Strolling around Huacheng Square to appreciate it's green surroundings and a magnificent view of the Canton Tower across the Pearl River.

    A new landmark of Guangzhou city. It is 1,969 feet (600 meter) in height where you could get a panoramic view of the spectacular city landscape at the observation deck on top of the tower (optional admission at USD18)

    A comprehensive museum with a collection of over 160,000 pieces of exhibits that was opened to the public since October 1st, 1959.

    The biggest performing center in southern China and is one of the three biggest theaters in the nation. It was designed by famous late Iraqi architect, Zaha Hadid. Recommended lunch place: Guangzhou Restaurant (Cantonese dimsum). Address: Room 1402, West Tower, Yuanyang Mingzhu Building, 21 Huali Road, Zhujiangxincheng, Tianhe District, Guangzhou). Lunch is not included. Please ask your tour guide to reserve seat in advance.

    An academic temple built by the 72 Chen clans for their juniors' accommodation and preparation for the imperial examinations in 1894 in Qing Dynasty.

    Transfer to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, a must-see place when visiting Guangzhou. Even if you do not really come here to shop, the place is still very enjoyable. You could walk along the streets, browse all kinds of stores available there, or simply soak up the atmosphere. Transfer back to your hotel - Hotel Landmark Canton after tour. Hotel Landmark Canton is ideally located in the heart of Guangzhou, with the Pearl River to the south and Yuexiu Mountain to the north, thus promising the guests to enjoy the beautiful view of the river and new appearance of this city.   2. 2Guangzhou to Kaiping (B)⌄

    Pickup from your hotel lobby at 0830am. Transfer to Zili Village. Here you can see many Diaolous (Barbicans) with different styles, fine shape, and rich connotation. Diaolou is the outer defense of a castle or walled city, especially a double tower above a gate or drawbridge. Most of them were built in the 1920s and 1930s; it’s built by the local overseas Chinese for the protection of their home and property.

    The European Style Street in Chikan Old Town is famous for its ancient architectures and the simplicity of local customs, especially those ancient buildings styled in both the Western and the Oriental.

    Li Garden is a lovely Chinese garden built by overseas Chinese Mr. Xie Weili back in the 1920s. After the tour, you will be transferred to Taishan Country Garden Phoenix Hotel, the best available hotel in this area. Relax on the sun terrace and outdoor swimming pool, play billiards or table tennis, etc.

  3. 3Jiangmen to Hong Kong (B)⌄

    A buffet breakfast can be enjoyed at the hotel. It serves a variety of Cantonese, Chinese and Asian dishes. Transfer to Jiangmen Pier (90 minute on road). Take afternoon departure ferry transfer from Jiangmen to Hong Kong: It leaves at 15:00, arrives Hong Kong at 17:40. Enjoy the view of Xijiang River and South China Sea.
