Discover the Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park on a 4-day budget tour departing from Nairobi city. Go deep into the African plains and set out on daily game drives across the park. All the Big Five are here with many mammals and birds in this Masai Mara plain. Watch for the animals that emerge at dusk, see hippos and crocodiles along the banks of the Mara River, see the park’s stunning ‘Great Migration’. Optional: visit of Maasai village & balloon safari. Lake Nakuru National Park is the Bird Watchers’ Paradise, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. Enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges.

Wildlife include endangered White and Black rhinos as well as Rothschild giraffe. Water bucks, predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve⌄

    Your tour will begin as you depart from Nairobi towards the Maasai Mara Reserve via the Great Valley Viewpoint, where you will have a stopover for sightseeing (weather permitting). From there you will arrive in a tented camp in time for lunch or have lunch on the way at Narok depending with time then later enjoy a game drive in this breathtaking land to truly enter the wild. You can hunt for the "big five", as well as the plain game such as the gnus (which are are abundant in this area).

  2. 2Maasai Mara National Park⌄

    On your second day you will enjoy a full day of game viewing through the rolling grass of the Mara, which consists of endless plains where more than 2 million wild beast gnu's migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania with their calves. You will then visit the banks of the Mara River to try and spot hippos, before having the option to visit a Maasai village to learn of their unchanged traditional culture.

  3. 3Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National park⌄

    Pre morning game drive and then after breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru with game drive enroute and Picnic lunch. You are going to arrive Nakuru early evening dinner and overnight at camp

  4. 4Lake Nakuru to Nairobi⌄

    After breakfast proceed for a game drive to Lake Nakuru which is world renowned for its masses of flamingoes and is often referred to as the “Pink Lake”. Beside birds, it is possible to see small game, like Water Buck, Impala, Rhino and Buffalo in the gardens surrounding. After lunch depart to Nairobi arriving around 4/5pm in the evening
