Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Edinburgh - Glencoe - Fort William⌄

On this route, you see one of Scotland’s most amazing modern marvels, The Kelpies. These massive steel horse heads are fantastic to photograph and intriguingly engineered. The largest pair of horse sculptures in the world are made from 300 tonnes of steel.

Crossing the ancient Highland Fault Line, we enter the majestic Highlands. The flat, fertile plains of the Lowlands gradually give way to shimmering lochs, rugged mountain peaks, and forested glens of Trossachs National Park. A brief stop by a stunning loch allows you to breathe in the fresh Highland air and revitalise you for the next leg of our journey.

This wee village features the dramatic Falls of Dochart and has connections to the legendary folk hero and outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor.

We then arrive at the majestic Glencoe, renowned for its rugged slopes and rich history, often showcased in films. Here, you'll have time for photos or a short walk to appreciate the stunning landscape and learn about one of the most tragic tales in Scottish history.

    Overnight: Overnight in Fort William.

  2. 2Fort William - Mallaig - Armadale - Skye⌄

Admire the beautiful viaduct that the ‘Hogwarts Express’ runs along. This is one of the most beautiful railway bends in Britain and featured in the Harry Potter movies. There’s also an iconic monument that commemorates the Jacobites who fought for Scottish independence.

Next, we make our way to Mallaig, where you’ll have time for a quick lunch before boarding the ferry to Skye.

Grab some lunch and get ready to take the ferry 'over the sea to Skye' to the southern area of the famous island. We’ll spend the afternoon exploring the incredible landscapes of the Sleat Peninsula, often referred to as the "Garden of Skye" for its lush landscapes and vibrant greenery. Your driver-guide will adapt the itinerary to the weather and your group’s interests, potentially taking you to the renowned waterfalls of Glenbrittle or the dramatic Cuillin Mountains in Elgol, where you can revel in breathtaking views.

Overnight: Overnight in Kyleakin or Kyle of Lochalsh (Between 31st October and 31st March, you'll spend two nights in Broadford)

  3. 3Full day touring around the Isle of Skye. Options and attractions are subject to group's interests.⌄

Today is your opportunity to see some of the most famous wonders of Skye. The Quiraing, the Old Man of Storr, Neist Point: the options are endless. Your guide will choose a unique itinerary to suit the weather and what’s happening on the island. And they’ll always ensure you get a chance to get off the beaten track and discover the best spots for photos. In the late afternoon, you return to your overnight base.

Overnight: Overnight in Kyleakin or Kyle of Lochalsh (Between 31st October and 31st March, you'll spend two nights in Broadford)

  4. 4Isle of Skye - Eilean Donan Castle - Edinburgh⌄

An iconic and gorgeous 13th-century castle that once warded off Viking invasions.

We stop for lunch in Fort Augustus where you decide how you want to spend your time. Stroll along the Caledonian Canal and watch the boats navigate its locks. Enjoy Scottish specialties in one of the cozy cafés or restaurants. Or you can stroll to the banks of the legendary Loch Ness and hope you will see the elusive monster.

Among the towering trees of Perthshire, we'll take a final refreshment break in the gorgeous cathedral town of Dunkeld situated on the banks of the River Tay.
