Overview

Connect with the ancient cultures of the Andes and be amazed by landscapes that seem like something out of a dream. Join us on an experience that combines archaeology, living culture, and the energy of the sacred lake of the Incas.

You'll begin your adventure in Tiwanaku, the birthplace of one of South America's oldest and most enigmatic civilizations. With your guide, you'll discover the mysteries of this ancient culture.

We'll continue our tour to Isla del Sol, considered the birthplace of the Inca culture. Walk along the trails that crisscross the island, visit pre-Incan ruins preserved by the natives, and enjoy one of the best sunsets with the lake and the Andes mountain range as the centerpiece.

Day by day itinerary

We pick you up from your hotel or accomodation and take you to the Tiwanaku.

Upon arrival, we will meet our local guide, who is knowledgeable about archaeology and local culture. To begin, we will visit two points of interest: the Lithic Museum and the Ceramics Museum.

We will visit the entire archaeological area

Puma Punku is a separate area from the archaeological complex where we find the best examples of rock carvings from this culture.

We'll cross the Bolivian Altiplano and the Strait of Tiquina until we reach Copacabana. Our private boat will be waiting to sail to Isla del Sol.

Arrival at our port on Isla del Sol, where you'll settle into your room. Afterward, your guide will take you to a viewpoint to watch the sunset, admiring the Andes mountains. In the evening, a dinner prepared by locals awaits.

Meals: Lunch: Andean buffet: a sample of different proteins from Lake and the region, a variety of potatoes, beans, quinoa, and more. · Dinner: 3-course menu prepared by natives of the island of the sun

  2. 2Isla del Sol - La Paz⌄

In the morning we begin our visit at Pilkokaina, an observation temple belonging to the pre-Inca culture.

We made our walk crossing the largest community on the island which connects with the Yumani steps, a pre-Inca construction that led to the main port used in ancient times.

We arrived at the port of Yumani to meet our private boat. We began our return to Copacabana.

We'll visit the local market to learn about the different local products, and your guide will take you to taste some of them. We'll visit the Copacabana Cathedral, home to Bolivia's most important religious figure.

After these visits, we'll head to the city of La Paz, where we'll drop you off at your hotel. We may make several stops along the way to take photos.
