Grand Uzbekistan is two-week trip to visit the most important places and ancient cities of Uzbekistan and feel the unforgettable atmosphere of the rich culture and history of the country.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Tashkent⌄

    Arrival in Tashkent. Come out of the terminal and meet with our staff in the meeting zone. Transfer to hotel. You will have time to discuss the tour details with company representative. Leisure/ free time in the afternoon. Overnight.

  2. 2Tashkent⌄

    Khast Imam Square – a religious centre of the city consisting of the Barakkhan madrasa

    Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with the Holy Koran Book of the VII century.

    The Oldest Bazaar in Tashkent.

    Heart of Tashkent, beautiful green square named by great leader of Central Asia - Amir Temur.

  3. 3Tashkent - Nukus - Muynak - Nukus⌄

    Breakfast at the hotel. 06:00 Transfer to the local airport 07:25 Flight Tashkent-Nukus HY 11 09:05 Arrival in Nukus. Come out of the terminal to meet the driver and guide at the meeting zone. Drive to Muynak via beautiful Red Canions with beautiful and unusual Martian landscape. Arrival in Muynak city that used to be one of the richest city in the delta of Amu-darya,” the gates to Uzbekistan from the sea”. Nowadays there is only cemetery of Dead Sea. Drive back to Nukus. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight.

  4. 4Nukus - Ayazkala - Khiva⌄

    Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Art Museum of Savitsky.

    11:00 Transfer to archaeological monuments of Ancient Khorezm: Ayaz-Kala - one of the largest fortresses, Toprak-Kala -ancient settlement which was the capital of Khorezm in the III century AD, Kyzyl-Kala - unique monument of Ancient Khorezm architecture relevant to Kushan- Afrigid period . Transfer to Khiva. Leisure time in the afternoon. Overnight.

    Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 Meet the guide at the lobby. Walking sightseeing tour in the old part of Khiva – Ichan Kala known as “Inner town”. Ichan Kala is the biggest open air museum in Central Asia and consists of the following architectural monuments: - Ata Darbaza (West Gate), - Kunya Ark,Muhammad Rakhim-Khan Madrassa, - Muhammad Aminkhan Madrassa, - Kalta Minor Minaret, - Jome Mosque and Minaret, - Islam Khodja Madrassa and Minaret, - Said Alauddin Mausoleum, - Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, - Last Khiva Khan Allakulikhan’s Madrassa and Tosh Hovli Palace where was the harem with 40 concubines, - Caravanserai and Tim Allakulikhan. Walking excursion in Bukhara (6 hrs): - Visit to the Mausoleum of Samanids, - Bolo Hauz Mosque and the Ark Fortress – the oldest citadel dating back to I century BC, - Poi Kalon Square with Kalon Minaret and Mosque, Mir Arab Madrassa. - There are three trading domes or so-called covered bazaars preserved from the XVI century and these bazaars were the centers for trade of silk, jewelry and even for money exchange. Today as well, one can enjoy and purchase different souvenirs of a wide range, from small souvenir magnets to the famous Bukhara carpets. - Visit Ulughbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrassas, - Abdullakhan’s Tim, - Caravanserai Sayfuddin (the Center of Handicraft Development of Bukhara), - Magoki Attari Mosque, - Lyabi Hauz (Nadir Divanbegi Madrassa, Khanaka, Kukeldash Madrassa and the monument of Khodja Nasreddin).     Breakfast in the hotel. Free time in the morning. 11:00 Transfer to Samarkand by individual car (the departure time is to be agreed for later/earlier transfer by request). On the way, near town Gijduvan visit workshop of famous Uzbek pottery master Abdulla where you can learn more about the process of making ceramics, visit museum hall and even buy some of unique ceramic items . By request, visit to sardoba and Rabat-i Malik caravanserai -the remains of the most ancient portals in Central Asia with semi-column decorations on the walls. Arrival in Samarkand in the late afternoon. Check in the hotel. Free time. Overnight in Samarkand.

    Breakfast. 07:00 Transfer to the train station 08:07 Train Tashkent-Kokand 12:03 Arrival in Kokand. The driver and meet you at the train station meeting zone. The tour around Kokand: Khudoyar-Khan Palace of 19 century, Jami Mosque. Norbut-Biya Madrassah, Modari Khan Mausoleum. Transfer to Rishton (50 km west of Fergana) famous all over the world for its pottery that is decorated according to ancient tradition that is more than 800 years. Masters hand down their trade secrets from father to son. The unique red clay ceramic masterpieces are decorated with naturally made ultramarine, turquoise and azure ornaments known as blue glaze "ishkor". A visit to the workshops of the famous potter Rustam Umarov. Transfer to Fergana. Overnight.
