This 5 Days safari will take you to experience wildlife sightings in Mikumi National Park and culture of Maasai tribe by visit the Maasai Boma and then take you to another park; Nyerere National Park (Part of Selous Game Reserve) this Park is with a high density of crocodiles and hippos. Together with the Ruaha River making the park available for game viewing and boat safari.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Dar es Salaam - Mikumi National Park⌄

    Meet your driver guide and depart to Mikumi National Park. Arrival for afternoon game drive, great animal sightings like impala, zebra, wildebeests, elephants, giraffes, and many more. Evening visit Maasai Boma to enjoy the cultural village tour

    Overnight: Overnight at Camp Bastian Mikumi, a 3 Star Lodge. Camp Bastian Mikumi is set in unique and natural surroundings.

  2. 2Mikumi - Nyerere National Park (Part of Selous Game Reserve)⌄

    After breakfast depart to Nyerere National Park and pass through the Uluguru Mountains. With the en-route game drive visitors will have the chance to sightsee some of the wild animals like Elephants, Impalas, Elands, and many more.

    At Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve), visitors will take a boat ride among the crocodiles and hippos of the Rufiji River, which bisects the reserve from north to south

  3. 3Nyerere National Park (Part of Selous Game Reserve)⌄

    Visitors will have the opportunity to look for several species of wildlife in Nyerere National Park: lions, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, hippopotamuses, rhinos, antelopes, hyenas, African wolves, and a large number of crocodiles in the Rufiji River. Most notably the park is also known for its prolific population of African Wild Dogs.

  4. 4Nyerere National Park (Part of Selous Game Reserve) and visit Maasai Village⌄

    Another day for visitors to look for wildlife which were not able to see on the first day. Chance to look for wildlife in Nyerere National Park; lions, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, hippopotamuses, rhinos, antelopes, hyenas, African wolves, and many more.

    This one-hour visit to a village visit is a chance to interact with the local people and get a glimpse into their culture, and unique way of life and see firsthand some of their customs and practices.

  5. 5Walking safari (Nyerere National Park) and drive back to Dar es Salaam⌄

    Walking safari will give visitors a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds. It starts in the morning with a guidance of an armed ranger, and takes 2 hours. Walking safaris offer a good chance of seeing giraffes, zebra, elephants, and good birding.

    After breakfast, depart back to Dar.
