   9:00 AM: Pickup from your Kigali accommodation after breakfast. Begin your journey to Akagera National Park, enjoying the scenic views of Rwanda’s “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Stop for photos or a quick coffee break at a cozy café if needed. Midday: Arrive at Akagera National Park and start your adventure with a thrilling game drive or opt for a boat ride on Lake Ihema to spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and diverse birdlife. Afternoon: Continue exploring the park’s savannah landscapes and lakeside views. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. Evening: Head to the Mutumba viewpoint, the highest point in Akagera, for breathtaking sunset views over the park’s stunning landscapes. Night: Set up camp, enjoy a delicious bush dinner under the stars, and relax around a cozy campfire. Spend the night immersed in the sounds of the wild.

Mid-Morning: Continue on a full-day game drive (up to 6 hours), searching for the Big Five—lions, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards—as well as giraffes, antelopes, baboons, and more. Akagera’s diverse habitats make it a wildlife haven and a birder’s paradise with over 500 bird species. Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, soaking in the natural beauty. Exit through the northern gate and begin your journey back to Kigali. Evening: Arrive in Kigali, marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day safari adventure.
