Day by day itinerary
1Sendai to Yamagata⌄
Famous as a sanctuary for financial luck and business prosperity, Kanahebi Sui Shrine is a scenic spiritual spot dedicated to water and snake deities. Visitors can pray for good fortune, admire beautiful seasonal wisteria, and receive artistic Goshuin (hand-drawn shrine stamps). The shrine is also renowned for its stunning variety of gold and snake-themed amulets (omamori), crafted to bring wealth and protection.
Savor Shiroishi Umen, a comforting local noodle specialty with over 400 years of history. Unlike typical noodles, Umen is made completely without oil, resulting in short, silky wheat noodles that are gentle on the stomach and rich in delicate flavor. Enjoy an authentic regional lunch at Yamabukitei or a similar local restaurant.
Indulge in the sweet, juicy perfection of fresh strawberries from Yamagata and Miyagi! Known for producing high-quality berries with a rich flavor, this region offers one of Tohoku's finest seasonal treats. (Note: The exact farm location will be chosen based on crop growth conditions to ensure you visit the farm with the best berries on your tour day.)
Step into a nostalgic storybook world at Ginzan Onsen, renowned for its picturesque multi-tiered wooden inns and the magical, warm glow of traditional gas lamps along the river. Stroll through the charming streets to admire the stunning Taisho-era architecture, and enjoy sampling delightful local street food as you walk.
