Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Arrival in Ahmedabad & Sightseeing⌄

    On arrival, begin your exploration with Akshardham Temple, a grand temple complex known for its detailed carvings, well-maintained gardens, and informative exhibitions on Indian culture and spirituality (closed on Mondays).

    Continue to Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, famous for its beautifully carved stone windows, especially the iconic “Tree of Life", which is a symbol of Ahmedabad.

    Visit Hutheesing Jain Temple, a peaceful white marble temple known for its fine craftsmanship and intricate details.

    Then explore Sabarmati Ashram, a historic site where Mahatma Gandhi lived and led important movements for India’s independence.

    End the day at Adalaj Stepwell, an architectural masterpiece with beautifully carved pillars and a unique design that kept the interiors cool even in summer. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad. Please note that hotel check-in is available after 2:00 PM.

  2. 2Ahmedabad to Dwarka - via Jamnagar (Approx. 450 km/ 8–9 hours)⌄

    After breakfast, drive towards Dwarka. En route, visit Bala Hanuman Temple, known for its continuous chanting of “Jai Ram Shri Ram", creating a unique spiritual atmosphere.

    On arrival, visit Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the most sacred temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. Located near the Gomti River, the temple is known for its tall structure, flag rituals, and lively evening Aarti. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

  3. 3Dwarka Sightseeing⌄

    Start your day with morning prayers at Dwarkadhish Temple, experiencing the spiritual energy of this holy place.

    Proceed to Bet Dwarka, a small island believed to be Lord Krishna’s original residence, reached by a short and scenic boat ride.

    Continue to Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas, known for its peaceful surroundings and tall Shiva statue.

    Later, visit Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Rukmini and known for its beautiful carvings and mythological significance. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

  4. 4Dwarka to Somnath - via Porbandar (Approx. 250 km /5–6 hours)⌄

    Drive towards Somnath with a stop at Porbandar. Visit Kirti Mandir, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, now preserved as a memorial displaying his life and teachings.

    Also visit Sudama Temple, dedicated to Sudama, symbolising friendship and devotion.

    On arrival in Somnath, visit Somnath Temple, a sacred Jyotirlinga temple located along the Arabian Sea. The temple is known for its rich history, beautiful setting, and peaceful spiritual environment. Attend the evening Aarti and enjoy the impressive sound and light show. Overnight stay in Somnath.

  5. 5Somnath to Diu (Approx. 120 km /3–4 hours)⌄

    After breakfast, visit Bhalka Tirth, believed to be the place where Lord Krishna left his earthly form, and Triveni Sangam, a sacred confluence of three rivers.

    Drive to Diu and explore St Paul's Church, one of the finest examples of Portuguese architecture in India, known for its detailed woodwork.

    Later, visit Diu Fort, a historic seaside fort offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and a glimpse into colonial history. Overnight stay in Diu.

  6. 6Diu to Sasan Gir (Approx. 120 km /3–4 hours)⌄

    After breakfast, drive to Sasan Gir and visit Gir National Park, the only place in the world where Asiatic lions can be seen in the wild. The park is also rich in wildlife, including deer, leopards, and a variety of birds. Enjoy an exciting jeep safari through the forest. Note: The park remains closed from 15 June to 15 October. Devalia Safari Park can be visited during this period. Overnight stay in Sasan Gir.

  7. 7Sasan Gir to Ahmedabad - Departure (Approx. 360 km /7–8 hours)⌄
