Day by day itinerary

1. 1Arrival at Cochin – Athirappilly (Approx. 35 km | 1 Hour)⌄

   Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to Athirappilly, one of Kerala's most picturesque destinations. Nestled amidst the lush forests of the Western Ghats, Athirappilly is renowned for its magnificent waterfalls and pristine natural surroundings. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

   In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Athirappilly Waterfalls, Kerala's largest waterfall, popularly known as the "Niagara of India." Cascading nearly 80 feet into the Chalakudy River, the falls offer breathtaking views amidst dense forests and rugged rocky cliffs.

   Continue to the nearby Vazhachal Waterfalls, a scenic cascade surrounded by tropical forests. Known for its rocky stream and tranquil atmosphere, it is an ideal place to experience the untouched beauty of Kerala. Overnight stay in Athirappilly.

2. 2Athirappilly – Guided Jungle Trek (Seasonal Activity – Closed until September 2026)⌄

   Begin your day with an early departure to the Vazhachal Forest Office for a 9 km guided jungle trek, accompanied by trained tribal guides. Lunch is generally included.

   Follow scenic forest trails along the Chalakudy River, passing through dense rainforests, streams, and rich vegetation. The trek offers an excellent opportunity to experience the biodiversity and natural beauty of the Western Ghats. Overnight stay in Athirappilly. Please Note: The Athirappilly–Vazhachal Jungle Trek is currently closed until September 2026 by the Kerala Forest Department. An alternative sightseeing activity will be arranged, subject to availability.

3. 3Athirappilly – Marari (Approx. 145 km | 4 Hours )⌄

   After breakfast, drive to the tranquil coastal village of Marari, renowned for its unspoilt beaches, swaying coconut palms, and traditional fishing community. Upon arrival, check in to your beach resort.

   Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Relax on the peaceful beach, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, or take a leisurely walk through the nearby fishing village. Overnight stay in Marari.

4. 4Marari – Alleppey – Houseboat Day Cruise – Marari (Approx. 20 km each way | 30 Minutes )⌄

   After breakfast, drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha), Kerala's renowned backwater destination. Board a traditional Kerala houseboat for a relaxing day cruise through the enchanting backwaters. Often referred to as the "Venice of the East," Alleppey is famous for its network of canals, lagoons, and lakes lined with coconut groves and charming villages. Enjoy scenic views of paddy fields, local homes, churches, and temples while a traditional Kerala lunch is served onboard. 5. 5Marari – Fishing Harbour Experience⌄

   Early this morning, visit a local fishing harbour to witness the daily activities of Kerala's fishing community. Watch colourful fishing boats return with their fresh catch and observe the lively fish auction where traders purchase seafood directly from the fishermen. Return to the resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the beach or the resort's facilities. Overnight stay in Marari.

6. 6Marari Beach⌄

7. 7Marari – Cochin (Approx. 45 km | 1.5 Hours )⌄

   After breakfast, drive to Cochin (Kochi), Kerala's historic port city. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

   In the evening, experience a traditional Kathakali Dance Performance, one of Kerala's most celebrated classical art forms. The performance is renowned for its elaborate costumes, vibrant makeup, expressive facial gestures, and captivating storytelling inspired by Indian mythology. Overnight stay in Cochin.

8. 8Kumbalangi Village Experience & Kochi Sightseeing (Approx. 30 km)⌄

   After breakfast, visit Kumbalangi, India's first model fishing village. Enjoy a traditional country boat ride, observe local fishing techniques, crab farming, and village life,

   Visit the historic Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later renovated by the Dutch. The palace is renowned for its traditional Kerala architecture and exquisite murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and other Hindu epics.

   Continue to St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India and the original burial place of the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama.

   Visit the historic Paradesi Synagogue, built in 1568. It is admired for its hand-painted Chinese floor tiles, elegant Belgian chandeliers, and rich Jewish heritage.
