Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Kasbahs, Roses & Gorges⌄

    Visit one of Morocco’s most iconic and well-preserved fortified mud-brick Kasbahs. Explore its historical interior and learn about traditional life in the Skoura Oasis.

    Drive through the fragrant Valley of the Roses. We stop in Kelaat M'Gouna to learn about the local production of rosewater and essential oils, key components of the region's agricultural heritage.

    Drive up the famous winding 'Tissandrine' road for a high-altitude panoramic view of the serpentine turns and the Dades River far below.

    Stop to admire the unique geological phenomenon where massive rock formations have been eroded into the distinctive shapes locally nicknamed 'Monkey Fingers.'

    Enjoy a gentle hike through the valley floor, passing through lush oases, farmlands, and traditional Berber villages, offering a glimpse into local life.

  2. 2High Canyons, Ancient Waterways, and Sahara Sunset⌄

    Visit the breathtaking Todra Gorges. Take an invigorating walk along the river between the towering 300-meter-high limestone cliffs.

    Stop near Tinejdad or Touroug to learn about the ancient Berber irrigation system (Khattara) used to water the oasis palms for centuries.

    Arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in the late afternoon, meeting your camel trekking team and preparing for the Sahara entry.

    Go on a classic camel trek into the heart of the dunes. Arrive at the luxury camp in time to climb a dune and witness the magnificent Sahara sunset.

    Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by local music and drumming around the campfire under a blanket of stars.

    Go on a 4x4 off-road adventure to visit a remote nomadic Berber family. Share traditional mint tea and learn first-hand about their ancient, resourceful way of life.

    Explore the area surrounding the dunes, including the Mifis mineral mines, offering stunning viewpoints of the Erg Chebbi landscape and the former Paris-Dakar rally route.

    Pause for a traditional, fresh picnic lunch served in the shade of a lonely acacia tree, deep within the desert's quiet expanse.

    Return to the edge of the dunes and check into your hotel. The entire afternoon is dedicated to relaxation, enjoying the swimming pool, or viewing the dunes from the terrace.

    Drive along the ancient caravan route, pausing for a stunning panoramic view over the Draa Valley, Morocco's largest continuous palm grove.
