Day by day itinerary
1Cusco - km 104 trailhead - Aguas Calientes⌄
Leaving Cusco, we embark on a journey to Ollantaytambo.
Enjoy picturesque train journeys to Km 104, the starting point of our Inca Trail adventure.
As we cross a bridge towards Chachabamba, we ascend through verdant forests towards Wiñay Wayna, an awe-inspiring Inca ruin offering breathtaking panoramic views.
Our trek comes to an end at the Sun Gate, revealing stunning vistas of Machu Picchu. Upon descending to Aguas Calientes, we get ready for the exploration of Machu Picchu the following day.
Leisure time in Aguas Calientes followed by an overnight stay.

2Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco⌄
We set off early from Aguas Calientes, entering Machu Picchu as soon as the gates open to avoid the crowds.
A guided tour will cover essential areas, after which you'll have free time for self-guided exploration.
Upon our eventual return to Aguas Calientes, there's an opportunity for lunch and optional relaxation at the nearby hot springs before we board a train back to Ollantaytambo.
