Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan is popularly known as the Blue City. Forts, palaces, temples, havelis and even houses are in vivid shades of blue. The imposing fortress of Mehrangarh towers over this magnificent city and has eight gates leading out of the fortress. The new city is located outside this structure. Jodhpur is also known for the rare breed of horses known as Marwari or Malani, which are only found here.

    Upon arrival in Jodhpur, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure. Kindly Note: Hotel check-in time 1400 Hours

  2. 2Jodhpur Sightseeing- Excursion to Bishnoi Village by Jeep (45 Kms / 01 Hr one way)⌄

    Visit the invincible Mehrangarh Fort, a former palace. The Fort stands on a perpendicular cliff overlooking the walled city of Jodhpur. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the best preserved forts in India. Rudyard Kipling described it as “the Work of Giants”. The Fort is now a museum, which hosts a collection of musical instruments, furniture, paintings, canons and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs).

    You will also visit the Jaswant Thada, an immaculate white marble mausoleum overlooking a small lake in the heart of the city. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899 to commemorate his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Jaswant Thada offers a serene escape within the bustling Jodhpur city.In the afternoon, you will take a jeep ride to Bishnoi Village, home for Bishnoi tribes who follow an eco-friendly sect of Hindu religion.The villagers are staunch worshippers of nature in all its forms, specially the sanctity of plant and animal life. They even pray to the green trees and animals that inhabit their land. You will return back to your hotel by evening.
