Discover the Amazon rainforest through an immersive stay at Irapay Amazon Lodge. This experience combines jungle exploration, cultural encounters and river excursions in one unforgettable Amazon adventure.

Stay surrounded by nature while enjoying a botanical jungle walk, a visit to a native community, Amazonian cuisine and a boat excursion along the Amazon River, where you can look for pink river dolphins.

The experience also includes a visit to Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm on the 4-day program, offering travelers the opportunity to learn about butterflies and visit an animal rescue center.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Day 1 – Iquitos – Irapay Amazon Lodge⌄

    Meet us at Iquitos Airport and transfer to the port to board the boat to Irapay Amazon Lodge. After approximately 30 minutes, arrive at the lodge and enjoy an Amazonian meal at Maloca Restaurant. Visit Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm to learn about the butterfly metamorphosis process. The site also operates as an animal rescue center. Return to the lodge, enjoy your first Amazonian sunset and have dinner at the restaurant.

  2. 2Day 2 – Jungle Experience⌄

    After breakfast, enjoy a jungle walk where you will explore medicinal plants, giant trees and the Irapay palm. You will also have the opportunity to experience the jungle vines. Enjoy lunch at the lodge, followed by free time to relax and enjoy the Amazonian sunset. Dinner at the restaurant.

  3. 3Day 3 – Native Community⌄

    After breakfast, visit a native community to learn about its traditions, dances, songs and local handicrafts. Return to Irapay for lunch, followed by free time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities and the final Amazonian sunset. Dinner at Maloca Restaurant.

  4. 4Day 4 – Amazon River Excursion – Iquitos⌄

    After breakfast, enjoy a boat excursion along the Amazon River and admire the meeting point of the Amazon and Nanay Rivers. Make a brief stop to look for pink river dolphins. After the excursion, transfer back to Iquitos and continue to the airport.
