Join us on a 4-day tour of the Iquitos Amazon rainforest in a small group of up to 6 people. Visit Bethlehem Market, observe the encounter of the Amazon, Nanay and Itaya rivers, and meet medicinal plants at the Ecomuseum. You’ll sleep in an eco-lodge, canoe, camp under the stars, catch piranhas and get to know communities like the Yagua. A deep, authentic and unforgettable experience.
We start the day by picking you up from your hotel or Iquitos airport to take you straight on the adventure. We will visit Bethlehem Market, famous for its exotic fruits, natural medicines and unique flavors such as grilled lizard or suris. Then, we’ll take a canoe to tour the floating neighborhood, where you’ll see how people live in houses on water. Afterwards, we will continue along the Nanay River to the point where the Nanay, Itaya and Amazon rivers meet, a special place where, hopefully, we can see pink dolphins. We will stop at the Chullachaki Ecomuseum to learn about medicinal plants, local culture and taste traditional drinks. You will also meet the huge paiche and alligators at Fundo Don Pedrito. Finally, we will reach the Yanayacu Lodge. In the afternoon, we will take a sunset canoe ride and end the day with dinner surrounded by nature.

We started the day by dismantling the camp, cleaning the area and returning to the lodge for a nutritious breakfast. Then we set out by canoe for a fun fishing experience of piranhas, the famous and voracious Amazonian fish. After this activity, we return to the hostel for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the peasant community of Yanayacu Timicuro, where we will get to know its traditions, customs and way of life. At dusk, we enjoyed dinner at the lodge and closed the day with a quiet canoe ride along the river, from where we looked at the starry sky in the middle of the jungle.
