Day by day itinerary
1Journey from Kigali to Nyungwe - Canopy Walk Adventure⌄
Begin with an early morning pick-up from your Kigali hotel. Head to Kigali International Airport to catch your scheduled RwandAir flight to Kamembe. Depart at 07:00 and arrive at 07:40. Upon landing, meet your driver-guide and proceed directly to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Upon arrival at Nyungwe, enjoy a light refreshment at the park offices. After a briefing, embark on a guided canopy walk, a 1.5-hour adventure that takes you 60 meters above the forest floor. Enjoy breathtaking views of the forest canopy and observe diverse wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and possibly colobus monkeys.

2Nyungwe National Park - Chimpanzee Trek & Tea Plantation Tour⌄
Chimpanzee Trek: Set out early for an exhilarating chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe's lush forest. Guided by an expert, spend 3-4 hours tracking and observing chimpanzees in their natural environment, watching as they play and interact in the trees.
Later, visit the Gisakura Tea Plantation for an immersive experience into Rwanda's tea culture. This 1-hour tour covers the tea production process and concludes with a tasting session, allowing you to enjoy Rwanda's unique experience from crop to cup.
