Day by day itinerary
1Tokyo to Mt. Fuji Foothills and Hakone Onsen Ryokan Stay⌄
Walk up to the famous Chureito Pagoda viewpoint for one of Japan’s most iconic views of Mt. Fuji. Guests can enjoy panoramic scenery, seasonal cherry blossoms or autumn colors, and free time for photography and a short stroll through the shrine grounds.
Stroll through Oshino Hakkai, a traditional village known for its crystal-clear spring ponds fed by Mt. Fuji’s snowmelt. Guests can walk along quiet pathways, view thatched-roof houses, enjoy local snacks, and take photos of Mt. Fuji reflected in the ponds.
Visit Oishi Park along the shores of Lake Kawaguchi for open views of Mt. Fuji across the water. Guests can enjoy seasonal flowers, relaxed lakeside walks, and panoramic photo opportunities in a quiet natural setting.
Meals: Lunch: Lunch featuring Hōtō, Yamanashi’s signature thick noodles in miso broth with seasonal vegetables. · Dinner: Traditional kaiseki dinner with seasonal local ingredients at the ryokan.
Overnight: Overnight at an Ichinoyu Group onsen ryokan in Hakone.
2Hakone and Atami Scenic Exploration with Onsen Stay⌄
Visit Hakone Shrine, a historic lakeside Shinto shrine set among cedar forests. Walk through the torii gate by Lake Ashi and explore the peaceful shrine grounds.
Cruise Lake Ashi aboard the Hakone “pirate ship” sightseeing boat. Enjoy open views of the lake, surrounding mountains, and Mt. Fuji on clear days while relaxing on deck.
Explore Owakudani, an active volcanic valley known for steaming vents and sulfur springs. Walk designated paths and try the famous black eggs cooked in the hot springs.
Visit Atami Onsen, one of Japan’s classic seaside hot spring towns with over 1,000 years of history. Stroll along the coast, explore local streets, and enjoy panoramic ocean views.

3Atami to Odawara, Kamakura and Yokohama, Return to Tokyo⌄
Stop at Ito Marine Town, a popular seaside market and promenade. Enjoy ocean views, browse local snacks and souvenirs, and take a relaxed coastal walk for photos.
Visit Odawara Castle grounds and enjoy exterior views of the historic samurai-era fortress. Free time for photos and a short walk around the park area.
Visit the Great Buddha of Kamakura, a 13th-century bronze statue standing in an open temple setting. Walk the temple grounds and take time for photos and quiet reflection.
Explore Yokohama Chinatown, Japan’s largest Chinatown, known for its vibrant streets, traditional gates, and wide variety of Chinese restaurants and street food. Enjoy free time to stroll and dine.
