Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Tokyo to Nikko⌄

A lavish UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. Explore intricate wood carvings, the famous “see no evil” monkeys, and peaceful forest surroundings.

One of Japan's most stunning waterfalls, dropping nearly 100 meters from Lake Chuzenji. Take the elevator down to the observation deck for an unforgettable view.

A spiritual Shinto site nestled among ancient cedar trees, just a short walk from Toshogu. Known for its quiet atmosphere and historical charm.

A serene lake at the foot of Mt. Nantai. Great for a peaceful walk or coffee break by the water.

  2. 2Trip from Nikko to Ashikaga Flower Park & Kawagoe before returning home⌄

Famous for its breathtaking seasonal flower displays, especially the massive wisteria in spring. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and perfect for strolls and photos year-round.

Stroll through charming historical streets with Edo-era architecture, candy alley, and local shops. A great spot for cultural photos and souvenirs.

Step into the magical world that inspired My Neighbor Totoro. Sayama Hills, affectionately known as “Totoro Forest,” is a lush, peaceful woodland on the outskirts of Tokyo. With gentle walking trails, scenic ponds, and traditional countryside charm, it's a perfect escape for nature lovers, families, and Ghibli fans alike. Though you won’t find theme park attractions here, the quiet atmosphere and natural beauty feel like stepping into a real-life Ghibli scene.
