Day by day itinerary

1. 1Guatemala City - Antigua - Acatenango⌄

   We pick you up from your hotel in Guatemala City or Antigua between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.

   We will organize and prepare for the adventure in the charming city of Antigua Guatemala.

   We will reach the slopes of the volcano to begin the challenging but rewarding ascent (approximately 6 - 7 hours of hiking with breaks).

   We will arrive at our camp just in time to see an unforgettable sunset over the clouds. Enjoy a hot light dinner as the Volcano of Fire roars with eruptions that light up the night. You will see lava flow and feel the earth vibrate in a unique sensory experience. Stay overnight in a shared dome with sleeping bag and warm equipment included.

   Meals: Lunch: Light lunch included · Dinner: Typical dinner with hot drink

   Overnight: Camp on top of the Acatenango volcano. Camping area

2. 2Camp - Acatenango Summit⌄

   We will wake up around 3:30 a.m. for a 1.5 hour hike to the summit of Acatenango (3,976 meters / 13,045 feet). You will reach the top just in time to see the most spectacular sunrise of your life, with 360° views over other volcanoes, the Pacific Ocean and the Guatemala Valley.

   Back to camp for breakfast.

   We will begin the descent back to the vehicle. We will transfer you to Antigua and finally to your hotel in Guatemala City, arriving around noon.

   Pick up in Antigua Guatemala to start returning to the hotel in Guatemala City
