Day by day itinerary

1. 1Pinnawala⌄

   Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage offers visitors a chance to observe rescued elephants living in a peaceful sanctuary. Watching them bathe, play, and wander freely creates unforgettable memories. The center protects injured and orphaned animals, helping them recover while educating the public about conservation and the importance of safeguarding Sri Lanka’s wildlife.

2. 2Sigiriya⌄

   A same-day Sigiriya Rock climb offers an unforgettable adventure, especially when planned to catch the sunset in the evening. Beginning the ascent in the late afternoon allows travelers to explore the ancient frescoes, the Mirror Wall, and the impressive lion-paw entrance without the midday heat. As you reach the summit, the sky begins to glow with warm shades of orange, pink, and gold, casting stunning light over the vast forests, villages, and distant mountains. Watching the sunset from the top of this historic fortress creates a peaceful, magical moment, making the entire climb both rewarding and truly memorable.

3. 3Kandy⌄

   We are going to see Polonnaruwa and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy as well, making the day full of history and culture. After exploring the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, we will head to Kandy to visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, a deeply spiritual site for many Sri Lankans. In the evening, we can watch the famous Kandy dancing and cultural show, filled with traditional music, colourful costumes, and energetic performances. After enjoying the show, we can relax and stay overnight at a comfortable hotel in Kandy, ending the day with a peaceful and memorable experience.

4. 4Ella⌄

   In the morning, we go to see Ella and enjoy the beautiful tea plantation train tour, one of the most scenic journeys in Sri Lanka. As the train winds through misty mountains and lush green estates, we can stop to taste fresh Ceylon tea and learn how it is produced. The cool climate, stunning viewpoints, and peaceful atmosphere make the experience unforgettable. After spending the day exploring Ella’s natural beauty, we will travel to Yala in the evening. There, we are going to accommodate in Yala National Park, preparing for an exciting wildlife adventure the next day.

5. 5Yala and Galle⌄

   In the morning, we are going to visit Yala National Park for an exciting safari to see the animals in their natural environment, including elephants, leopards, crocodiles, and many beautiful birds. The fresh morning air and peaceful landscapes make the experience unforgettable. After finishing the safari, we will continue our journey in the afternoon by heading to Galle city for a short tour, exploring the famous Galle Fort, coastal views, and charming streets. Once the Galle visit is complete, we will travel back to Colombo, ending the day with wonderful memories of nature, history, and adventure.
