We´ll begin our first day of cycling in the Tequila region with an unforgettable route toward the Santa Rosa Dam, a local favorite among Jalisco’s cycling community. The ride unfolds through scenic roads framed by agave fields and rolling hills, leading to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the river and reservoir. A lively and enjoyable climb awaits — the perfect way to find your rhythm, connect with the landscape, and feel the pulse of this land. It’s one of Jalisco’s most iconic ascents, a must for any rider seeking both challenge and beauty in every pedal stroke.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit one of the region’s most renowned tequila distilleries to discover the art behind Mexico’s most celebrated spirit—from the agave harvest to the traditional distillation process, culminating in a guided tasting. Important for your comfort: Please bring a backpack with a change of clothes to enjoy the distillery tour and lunch comfortably after your ride. Please note that showers are not available at the facility. We kindly ask that you pack light and bring only the essentials, as space in the support vehicle is limited to your riding gear (bike, helmet, shoes, jacket) and your small day bag

On our second day of cycling, we’ll ride toward the historic town of Magdalena, a charming Pueblo Mágico whose roots date back to the 16th century. Known for its opal mines and rich colonial heritage, this route offers a perfect blend of culture, scenery, and cycling joy. We’ll roll through endless agave fields and mountain views, crossing landscapes that reflect the true essence of Jalisco. In Magdalena, time seems to slow down — the cobblestone streets, the colorful facades, and the warmth of its people make this ride a genuine cultural immersion. It’s a short yet unforgettable day, ideal to recover, reflect, and feel connected to the land that gives life to the spirit of tequila. Ride. Breathe. Discover the timeless beauty of Jalisco.
In the afternoon, you will have time to explore Etzatlán, a historic gem in Jalisco whose name translates to 'place of water' in Nahuatl. Founded in 1524, this charming town offers a visual spectacle unlike any other: the famous 'Cielo Tejido' (Woven Sky). This colorful, handmade canopy stretches over the main streets, creating a breathtaking atmosphere that attracts visitors from around the world. Beyond the woven sky, take a moment to discover the town's rich heritage, from the old train station—now converted into a museum—to the beautiful colonial chapels that dot the streets. It is a unique cultural stop that adds a touch of magic to our journey.

Our final ride takes us along the scenic Vías Verdes, a peaceful cycling path built over historic railway lines that once connected the heart of Jalisco. Surrounded by agave fields and volcanic hills, we’ll climb toward Piedras Bola, a natural wonder famous for its enormous spherical rock formations — among the largest on Earth — carved by volcanic activity millions of years ago. From there, the route descends toward the Guachimontones Archaeological Site, home to the only circular pyramids in Mesoamerica, a sacred place that tells the story of the ancient Teuchitlán civilization. Here, the silence, the view, and the magnitude of history remind us why cycling in Jalisco is unlike anywhere else. As the sun sets, we’ll gather to celebrate our achievement and welcome the New Year with our new cycling family — sharing a festive dinner filled with laughter, friendship, and gratitude.
