Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Bishkek to Song-Kul Lake via Burana Tower and Kalmak-Ashuu Pass⌄

    Visit the ancient Burana Tower, a historical minaret from the Karakhanid period located along the Silk Road. Travelers can explore the archaeological site, see traditional balbal stone statues, climb the tower for panoramic views, and learn about the history of the region from your guide.

    Drive across Kalmak-Ashuu mountain pass at over 3,400 meters above sea level and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of alpine valleys and remote summer pastures. Stop for photos and short walks while experiencing one of the most scenic routes used by local nomads traveling to Song-Kul Lake.

Stop for a short walk to a hidden mountain waterfall before continuing to Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon to explore its colorful red rock formations shaped by wind and time. Arrival at Issyk-Kul Lake for overnight stay near the southern shore.
