Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Mexico Tenochtitlan, City Tour of Historic Center, Dead Day Altars and Flower Market (October 28)⌄

    We will start this experience in the historic center of Mexico City explaining the encounter between Hernan Cortes and Moctezuma, passing through the national palace and enjoy a tour in the museum of the main temple of Tenochtitlan, later we will visit the metropolitan Cathedral, finally we will have free time to see the altars of day of the dead placed in the zocalo of Mexico City

    We will know the most important flower market in Mexico City and we will know the origin of the cempasuchil flower

  2. 2The History of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, Hanging Gardens of Xochimilco and Mexican Festival (29 October)⌄

    We will visit the studio house of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, a house built by the artist Juan O'Gorman and artistic manner built especially for Frida and Diego

    We will visit the Anahuacalli, in a museum that has a private collection of archaeological pieces by Diego Rivera, this museum has one of the largest day of the dead offerings dedicated especially to Diego Rivera

    We will visit Frida Kahlo’s house and enjoy a tour of Frida’s gardens and personal belongings

    We will take a tour of the hanging gardens of Xochimilco full of colors with the atmosphere of the festivity of day of the dead and with Mexican festival

    We will finish the tour with a representation of the legend of Mexico City better known as LA LLORONA is an artistic expression in the hanging gardens of Xochimilco recreating the legend about the canals of Xochimilco

  3. 3The Purepecha and Patzcuaro culture, Michoacan (30 October)⌄

    Arriving in the state of Michoacan the first point to see is the archaeological area of the Yacatas we will talk about this culture and visit its archaeological area

    We will start a tour of the city of Patzcuaro, visiting its basilica, the house of 11 courtyards, the Basque square of Quiroga through its cobblestone streets and we will know the Gastroniomia visiting traditional cooks and visiting different artisans of the city of Patzcuaro

  4. 4Catrinas artists in the town of Capula, island of Janitzio and Santa Fe de la Laugna (31 October)⌄

    We will enjoy the town of Capula where the most famous catrinas of Mexico are made we will visit the workshops of the artisans and enjoy this popular art in the most important festival of this town

    We will visit one of the most famous places where they were inspired to make the Disney film COCO, where they were inspired to make the Disney film COCO This place we can visit the house of one the most important characters of the film and the small town where Disney was inspired to make the film

    We will visit the island of Janitzio we will witness some of the most characteristic dancers of the state of Michoacan the dance of the old and visit the statue of Morelos inside the island

  5. 5Village of Tzinzunzan and its pantheons , Offerings in the village of Huecorio and pantheons at night in Patzcuaro (1 Nov)⌄

    We will visit the village of Tzintzunzan for the presentation of the alteras of the deceased in the village church full of cepasuchil flowers and visit the most important pantheon of Tzintzuntzan and enjoy the still authentic music of Michoacan

    We will visit the town of Huecorio to bring flowers to the deceased and Mexican bread and enjoy this festivity in the private homes of the deceased

    We will visit and celebrate the most important day of the day of the dead at night in 2 pantheons of patzcuaro throughout the night, we will enjoy Mexican food and the whole party that characterizes this festivity

    Overnight: Shared accommodation in Patzcuaro for the 1st of November

  6. 6End of the Day of the Dead holiday and visit to the day swamps (2 November)⌄

    We will visit for the last time the day pantheons in patzcuaro to say goodbye to the deceased we will take lunch and return to Mexico City
