Day by day itinerary
1Start day⌄
- Meeting point and breakfast 5:00 AM - Van transport to Cocora Valley 5:30 AM - Start of walk 6:00 AM (8 - 9 hours) Arrival at peasant farm, dinner and overnight stay
Meals: Breakfast: Farmer's breakfast: Corn arepa with grated cheese, scrambled eggs, rice, coffee or aguapanela · Lunch: Marching lunch Country cold cuts: chicken or stewed meat, rice, potato, whole egg, ripe plantain · Dinner: Peasant dinner: House soup, salad, chorizo or meat, patacón, rice, hot aguapanela
Overnight: Mountain refuge accommodation, farm stay, shared room
2Acclimatization hike⌄
- Breakfast 6:30AM - Acclimatization hike, ascent up to 4000+, breathing exercises in Páramo. 4 hours round trip Return to the farm - Introduction to glacier progression, use of equipment, rope team, and recommendations Dinner and overnight stay

3Summit Day⌄
- Muster and hot drink (11:00 PM day 2) - Start of ascent towards summit (7 hours) - Nevado del Tolima Summit (6:00 AM) Breakfast in Arenales (8:30 AM) Return to the farm Arrival at farm, lunch and rest (02:30 PM) - Dinner 6:30PM
