Day by day itinerary

1. 1Arrival in Bled⌄

   Individual arrival to the starting hotel in Bled.

   Perched atop a steep cliff rising 130 metres above the glacial Lake Bled is a symbol of Bled and Slovenia

   Explore the charming island, count the stairs and make a wish by pulling the wishing bell.

2. 2Round trip Bled (Route detail: ca. 23 km, + 280 m / – 280m)⌄

   Perched atop a steep cliff rising 130 metres above the glacial Lake Bled is a symbol of Bled and Slovenia

   The 1.6-kilometre long gorge is carved amidst the glorious vertical walls and it is highlighted by the Radovna River and its waterfalls, pools and rapids. A study trail runs across the gorge.

3. 3Bled - Pokljuka - Bohinj (Route detail: ca. 47 km, + 290 m / – 1050m)⌄

   The largest natural lake in Slovenia with endless opportunities for outdoor activities.

   Savica Waterfall is considered to be the most beautiful waterfall in Slovenia. With its height of 78 meters, it creates a powerful image of the wild alpine waters in the Triglav National Park. It lies at the upper end of the Lake Bohinj valley, not far from Ukanc village, squeezed between high gorges and rocky walls at an altitude of 900 meters and 300 meters above Lake Bohinj.

   From Lake Bohinj to Bohinjska Bistrica runs a multi-purpose asphalt cycling route along the Sava River This well-marked route is ideal for recreational cycling in Bohinj. Resting places and waste bins are located along the route. When arriving in Boh. Bistrica continue to train station.

4. 4Bled - Krma (Triglav National Park). Route detail: ca.44 km,+ 600m/–600m, longer version ca. 56 km, + 733 m / – 733m)⌄

   We will enter the Triglav National Park via Spodnje Gorje. We will drive through Radovna valley to Krma, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Julian Alps, to the Kovinarska mountain hut. We will return to Krnica on the same route.

   In the longer version, you can drive over a short ascent to Mojstrana, where you can visit the Slovenian Alpine Museum. Continue leisurely through the picturesque Sava Dolinka valley to Jesenice and continue on to Bled.

5. 5Bled - Radovljica - Begunje (Route detail: ca. 34 km, + 529 m / – 529m)⌄

   The stage takes you over the Ribno Field, where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama view and its surrounding hills. The route goes through the Sava Bohinjka Valley to Radovljica with the Medieval Town Tarkers and the Museum of Apiculture.

   Continue on the forest trail to reach the major Slovene pilgrimage centre in Brezje

   In Begunje, a visit of the Avsenik museum will take you to the world of Slovene popular folk music.

6. 6Bled - Žirovnica (Route detail: ca. 28 km, + 435 m / – 435m)⌄

   The route passes the Vintgar Gorge, one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Bled. Continue on a small pass to Blejska Dobrava. You will cross the dam – the Jesenice reservoir, and a short ascent will take you directly to Završnica Valley, the heart of Karavanke.

   The last section will take you to the most beautiful golf course in Slovenia and across the Sava Dolinka valley back to Bled.

7. 7Bled - Tržič - Kropa (Route detail: ca. 54 km, + 759 m / – 759m. Private transfer to shorten the route available)⌄

   From Bled you will ride via the Sava Dolinka river to Lesce, then through the Radovljica plain to Begunje. A slow ascent to the Underhillroad will follow, with a beautiful panorama view of the Julian Alps and Radovljica with its surroundings. This will bring you to Tržič, the old town core of which is considered a cultural and historical monument.

   Continue slowly to Kropa, the cradle of iron-forging, and Kamna Gorica with the same tradition. The last section leads through the Lipnica Valley and along Sava Bohinjka towards Bled.
