3 day Ocean to Mountains tour from Melbourne to Adelaide revealing the highlights and hidden gems of the Great Ocean Road and Grampians. Travel the heritage listed Great Ocean Road spanning 180km to the iconic 12 Apostles. Enjoy time to pause at breathtaking lookouts, discover charming coastal towns, and wander through ancient rainforests on a awe inspiring coastline. After a spectacular day on the Great Ocean Road relax overnight in Warrnambool. Next day you visit Tower Hill, an extinct volcano steeped in Aboriginal history and abundant native wildlife. Later we hike to the iconic Pinnacles for unforgettable views across the Grampians before travelling into the heart of the Grampians National Park and overnight in Halls Gap. The following morning you explore the National Park, experiencing sweeping mountain vistas and waterfalls before departing regional Victoria and continuing to South Australia, reaching Adelaide by approximately 7:30pm in a small groups, and local guides.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1DAY 1 - Melbourne to Great Ocean Road⌄

    We depart from Melbourne over the iconic Westgate Bridge, be sure to look back over your shoulder at the amazing city skyline.

    Start your 3-Day adventure by exploring the world famous Great Ocean Road with its stunning ocean views and surf beaches.

    This is a popular stop for travellers from around the globe, as they stop to take a photo under the historial Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch.

    Checkout the pristine surf beaches and seaside town of Apollo Bay.

    Take a guided walk through natural rainforest deep in the Great Otway National Park.

    Be blown away by the iconic 12 Apostles and strolls the cliff side boardwalks, we recommend guest book a 15mins scenic helicopter over the apostles. This option is extra and payable on tour, weather and time permitting.

    Visit the wonders of the shipwreck coastline and venture off exploring the hidden beach of Loch Ard Gorge.

    See the limestone coastal formations with 3 viewing platforms to explore and tak photos.

    This is our overnight location staying at a local Warrnambool Motel for a comfortable nights sleep.

    Meals: Dinner: Our group with enjoy a relaxing dinner at The Flying Horse Bar & Brewery or similar.

    Overnight: Overnight accommodation is in the seaside township of Warrnambool. With private ensuites & budget-friendly shared rooms.

  2. 2DAY 2 - Warrnambool to Grampians National Park⌄

    We rise early and enjoy breakfast at a local beach side cafe, before heading out for our second day of adventure.

    This morning you'll see additional coastal wonders of the Great Ocean Road, before we uncover the wonders of Tower Hill National Park, an extinct volcano rich in Aboriginal history and an abundance of wildlife.

    We arrive into town around lunchtime with time to explore and go in search for kangaroos in the wild.

    Learn about the rich Indigenous culture and history at the Halls Gap Information Centre and seek out some of the local wildlife.

    Later hike up to the iconic Pinnacle lookout with an amazing view over the Grampians.

    Finish the day with a group dinner and overnight stay in Halls Gap.

  3. 3DAY 3 - Grampians National Park across to Adelaide⌄

    We fuel up our bodies with breakfast at our accommodation in Halls Gap, if your feeling keen about getting up early speak to your guide as the sunrise views are spectacular.

    Explore the rugged wilderness of the Grampians National Park and panoramic views from Boroka Lookout.

    Check out some other famed sights such as Reed's Lookout and The Balconies also known as the Jaws of Death!

    On the last day of the journey we hike to the base of Mackenzie Falls to cool off and escape the sun. This is a picturesque setting nestled in the heart of the Grampians National Park.

    This is time for passengers to have a look around the town and get lunch. From here the group divides so that those travelling on to Adelaide go one way and those returning to Melbourne go another.

    Leaving Horsham, we travel East through Boardtown across to Adelaide arriving at approximately 8:00pm into the city center.
