Day by day itinerary

1. 1Shanghai - Beijing by High-speed Train, Hutong Rickshaw Tour⌄

   A morning high-speed train from Shanghai to Beijing will be booked for you in advance. Please take the train on your own and after around 4.5 hours, you will arrive in Beijing. Your local guide in Beijing will meet you at the railway station.

   Then you will have a Hutong rickshaw tour to learn about traditional Beijing culture. A rickshaw is an old vehicle drawn by man. You may travel through these old alleys with two persons on one rickshaw, which should be a unique experience. What's more, you will visit a local family to experience how to live like a Beijing local and see what the traditional quadrangle courtyard looks like. Finally, we will escort you to the hotel for a good rest.

2. 2Beijing City Tour⌄

   Your tour guide and driver will pick up you at the hotel and take you to tour Beijing. The first stop is the Tiananmen Square. Follow your guide to take a morning walk around this city square, and you can shoot distant view photos of the brilliant landmark buildings such as the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People and the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao.

   From the Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. Then, your guide will take you to a nice restaurant and have an a la carte lunch to taste the authentic Chinese cuisines.

   This afternoon, drive you to the Summer Palace, which is a grand summer resort of the royal family.

3. 3China Great Wall Tour⌄

   This morning, you will be transferred to Mutianyu section to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car will be arranged so that you can save more time on the Wall. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory.

   On the way back you will have a photo stop at the Olympic National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest.

   Later you will visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.

4. 4Leave Beijing, Airport See-off⌄

   After breakfast at the hotel, your guide and driver will take you to the airport for your homeward flight.
