Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Udaipur Sightseeing Tour with Guide⌄

Start your day with a pick-up from Udaipur Junction Railway Station, bus station, or centrally located hotel in the morning by your friendly English-speaking driver. Then you'll be taken to Udaipur City Palace - the largest palace complex in Rajasthan built between 1559 and the 18th century by Maharana Udai Singh and his successors.

Shree Jagdish Temple, a world-renowned temple of Lord Vishnu, is an absolute must-see when visiting Udaipur. Constructed by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651 and costing 1.5 million rupees, this three-story structure stands 79 feet tall and is still owned and managed by the royal family today.

Dudh Talai is a must-visit destination located on the banks of Lake Pichola near Udaipur's City Palace. Here you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Pichola, Jagmandir Island Palace, Lake Palace, Udaivilas, The Leela Palace and the Aravalli ranges. You can take a leisurely walk around the lake to spot various species of birds or relax in its lush green garden while listening to musical fountains in the park.

Saheliyon ki Bari, a popular garden in Udaipur, is renowned for its spectacular fountains and lush greenery. Constructed by King Sangram Singh of the 18th century on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, this expansive garden was intended to be used as an area for leisurely activities by royal women.

Ahar Cenotaphs, commonly known as the royal cremation ground is a legacy of the Mewar Kingdom built over 400 years ago. There are about nineteen rulers of the Mewar dynasty cremated in this glorious ground.

The Classic And Vintage Car Museum is a must-see for any car enthusiast. Featuring an extensive collection of classic and antique cars, including Cadillac, Ford Convertible, Rolls Royce and even rare models of Mercedes - this museum has all the royal feels you could ever want!

Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar. Constructed to the north-west of Udaipur and north of Lake Pichola during the 1680s, it remains a popular tourist destination today.

Pichola Lake, one of the oldest and largest lakes in Udaipur, is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and stunning scenery. Rudyard Kipling even wrote about it in his Letters of Marque (1899), famously saying "If the Venetian owned the Pichola Lake, he might say with justice 'see it and die.'" This lake truly deserves to be seen by all who visit Udaipur.

Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal is a cultural institution that specializes in the study of folk art, culture, songs and festivals from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. They are dedicated to promoting and spreading awareness of traditional folk arts, dances and literature.

  2. 2Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh Fort to Ranakpur Jain Temple⌄

After breakfast, you'll embark on a day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple. The journey will take around two hours (depending on traffic) to reach this majestic fort. Once there, you can explore its rich history and culture before heading off to Ranakpur for more sightseeing opportunities. The majestic Red Fort is a symbol of India's rich history and culture. It is often referred to as the "Great Wall of India," standing at an impressive 2,500 kilometers in length - making it the second-longest wall in the world!

After your visit to the Kumbhalgarh Fort, head over to the Jain Temple in Ranakpur. This 15th-century temple was built under the direction of Seth Dharna Shah and with the help of Rana Kumbha, king of Mewar. Upon entering, you'll find four entrances leading to a main chamber where an idol of Adinath is placed among five pillars holding idols of Tirthankaras. The largest pillar stands in the center and holds an idol of Adinath himself. Once you've explored this beautiful temple, your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Ranakpur for an overnight stay.
