Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Marrakech – High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate – Kelaa⌄

    Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, passing Berber villages, green valleys, and snow-dusted mountain peaks.

    Explore the historic mud-brick kasbah, a filming site for Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

    Drive through Ouarzazate with a brief stop at the film studios, then continue along the scenic Road of 1,001 Kasbahs.

    Check in at Hotel Kelaa Mgouna and enjoy an included traditional Moroccan dinner.

    Meals: Dinner: Three-course dinner served at your hotel, typically including a starter, main dish, and dessert in a relaxed setting.

    Overnight: Overnight stay in Kelaa Mgouna in a hotel, with a private room and ensuite bathroom.

    Travel to Tinghir and stroll through the palm oasis and Todgha Gorges, with free time to explore. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing on to Merzouga.

    Enjoy a sunset camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, with time for photos and sandboarding.

    Reach your desert camp before nightfall. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, followed by live Berber drumming around the campfire.

    Climb a nearby dune to watch the Sahara sunrise. Ride your camel back and enjoy breakfast before departure.

    Return journey through desert plains, lush valleys, and the Atlas Mountains, with a lunch stop en route. Drop-off at your original pickup point or a preferred location in Marrakech.

  • Please bring a small overnight bag for the desert. Main luggage stays securely in vehicle.
  • Desert temperatures vary, hot in summer (Jun–Aug), cold nights in winter (Nov–Feb). Pack layers accordingly.
  • Lunches are included only with the selected lunch option. Otherwise, lunch and drinks are at your own expense. Please bring cash (EUR or MAD), as many local restaurants do not accept cards. Lunch typically costs €10–13 per person.
  • Camel rides last approximately 45 minutes each way. Long trousers are recommended for a more comfortable ride. Guests who prefer not to ride a camel may walk alongside the caravan.
  • Optional activities available in Merzouga include quad biking, 4×4 desert excursions, horse riding, buggy rides, and additional sandboarding opportunities
