Discover the natural beauty and local culture of northern Thailand on a 2-day adventure through jungle trails, rice fields, waterfalls, and Karen villages. Choose Option A for a more trekking-focused experience with longer hikes, or Option B for a shorter trekking route combined bamboo rafting. Both options include local cultural experiences, traditional cooking, and an overnight stay surrounded by nature.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1City center to Mae Win District :Trekking, Waterfalls & Hill Tribe Experience⌄

    Hotel Pick up time is between 08:00-08:30 AM.

    Drive 35 minutes to the countryside, followed by a short rest stop at a gas station for snacks and last-minute essentials.

    Enjoy a 45-minute scenic drive into the mountains.

    Stop at a traditional Thai market where your guide will buy fresh ingredients and seasonal fruits. Enjoy observing the daily routines of local people.

    Activities vary depending on the option selected: Option A – Longer Jungle Trek: Enjoy a longer trek through the Doi Inthanon National Park area, following jungle trails, scenic rice fields, and beautiful mountain landscapes. Have lunch along the way and visit a Karen village to learn about the local community and its traditional way of life. Option B – Shorter Jungle Trek: Enjoy a shorter trek through the Doi Inthanon National Park area, passing through jungle trails, scenic rice fields, and mountain landscapes before visiting a Karen village to learn about the local community and its traditional way of life.

    Continue with a short hike to a natural waterfall, where you may swim if weather and water conditions are safe.

    At around 5:00 PM, help your guide prepare a traditional Thai dinner using fresh ingredients purchased at the local market. After dinner, relax by the campfire and settle in for an overnight stay surrounded by nature. The campfire experience is subject to weather and local conditions.

    08.00 - 09.00 am. Start your day with a hearty breakfast, then prepare for another exciting day of adventure.

    Trek deeper into the jungle to reach another beautiful waterfall. Cool off with a refreshing swim and take in the serene atmosphere

    Visit another Karen village Learn about local traditions and culture in a second Karen Hill tribe village.

    Drive to a Shan village and enjoy a delicious local meal in the community

    03.30 pm. Return to Chiang Mai. Relax on the drive back to your hotel, bringing home unforgettable memories. 04.30 - 05.00PM.

  • The rice fields are usually lush and green from June to November during Thailand’s rice-growing season. Outside this period, they may be dry, recently planted, or already harvested.
  • The trekking route passes through an area managed by the national park. Please follow your guide’s instructions, stay on designated trails, and respect the natural environment.
  • Bamboo rafting is included in Option B only and may be canceled if weather, water levels, or river conditions are considered unsafe.
  • Swimming at the waterfall depends on weather and water conditions. The guide will consider the group’s preference, but the final decision will be based on safety.
  • This tour supports eco-tourism and local communities. Please avoid leaving waste and help protect the natural environment.
  • You may bring a small backpack during the trek. Larger luggage can be stored at the local office, but please keep passports, money, electronics, and other valuables with you at all times.
  • For guests making separate bookings, please send all booking reference numbers at least 2 days before the travel date. We will try to arrange the same vehicle, but this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Please provide a WhatsApp-enabled phone number when booking so our team can contact you regarding pickup or any changes on the travel date.
  • Airport pickup is not available. This tour is not recommended for guests arriving in Chiang Mai on the same day or those with tight onward travel plans, as return times may vary.
