Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Auckland – Hobbiton – Waitomo Caves - Rotorua⌄

    Depart Auckland and travel by road through the scenic Waikato region, visit the Waitomo Glowworm caves, which includes a guided walk through the caves before enjoying a silent boat ride gliding through the Glowworm Grotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny gloworms.

    Visit the world-famous Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided tour of the iconic filming location featured in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. explore Hobbit Holes, the Green Dragon Inn, the Party Tree, The Mill, and other memorable locations while learning how the movie set was created and maintained.

    Arriving Rotorua early afternoon and transferred to your Rotorua accommodation.

  2. 2Rotorua - Whakarewarewa Geothermal Reserve and Living Maori Village⌄

    This morning collected from your accommodation and transferred to Whakarewarewa geothermal reserve and Maori Living Village. Here you will enjoy a guided tour and Maori Cultural performance.

    Early afternoon transferred back to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon to explore Rotorua at your own pace.

  3. 3Rotorua – via Lake Taupo – Wellington⌄

    Depart Rotorua and travel south through the heart of the North Island by Intercity coach. Passing the shores of Lake Taupo and the dramatic landscapes of the Central Volcanic Plateau. Continuing along the picturesque Kapiti Coast before arriving in Wellington in the early evening.

    Arriving Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand early evening and transferred to your central city accommodation.

    Discover New Zealand's capital city on a morning guided sightseeing tour.
