This tour is perfect for time-strapped travelers or romantic couples who want to get out of the city and into the gorgeous Pilanesberg bushveld for a Big 5 safari tour, a night of pampering at a 4-star safari lodge and a few hours of fun at South Africa’s favorite entertainment resort.

Your accommodation will be at a 4-star lodge located in a private game reserve that has been incorporated into the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. It’s located in a malaria-free region and less than a 3-hour drive from Johannesburg.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Morning and Afternoon Safari Drives⌄

    Guests are picked up early in Johannesburg and driven to the Greater Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. Arrive at your 4-star lodge mid-day after exploring the game reserve for a few hours. Enjoy an afternoon tea and snacks and relax before it’s time to depart for a late-afternoon game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. Return to the lodge as the sun is setting and enjoy a starlit dinner around the firepit on warm evenings.

  2. 2Morning and Afternoon Safari Drives⌄

    Wake up early for hot beverages and then depart for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Return for a hearty breakfast; pack up and be ready for collection between 10:30 – 11:00am for a open 4x4 vehicle game drive in the reserve . Depart mid-afternoon between 15:00 – 15:15 for the return journey to Johannesburg.
