Go beyond a day trip with this Ksar Ghilane overnight tour from Douz. Depart at 13:30 and arrive around 16:00 to visit the historic castle and oasis, then check in to a hotel in the oasis. Swim in the thermal hot spring, walk among the palms and watch the sunset over the dunes. Dinner is followed by an overnight stay.   1. 1Douz to Ksar Ghilane: Fort Tisavar, Oasis and Sunset⌄

    Travel by 4x4 through the desert route from Douz toward Ksar Ghilane. Enjoy Sahara scenery and photo stops before arriving around 16:00

    Visit the Roman Fort of Tisavar, a historic Roman outpost on the edge of the Sahara near Ksar Ghilane. Walk the remains with your driver-guide and take in the views over the dunes and the oasis.

    Arrive at the green Ksar Ghilane oasis, where palm trees surround a natural thermal hot spring. Check in to your hotel in the oasis, swim in the warm spring, walk among the palms and watch the sunset over the dunes before dinner. Dinner and the overnight stay are at the hotel.
